An Invitation to Move, Listen and Remember. Moving Home to the Body: The Work of Lindsay Jay
Lindsay Jay is the founder and creator of Flow Dance Meditation, an embodied movement and music practice that blends conscious dance, meditation, nervous system awareness, and intuitive guidance to support connection, presence and inner freedom.
Born from years of facilitating movement, meditation, and large-scale community experiences, Flow Dance Meditation offers an alternative to seated meditation, inviting people to meet themselves through the body, guided by carefully curated music and open, inclusive language. The practice supports people to regulate the nervous system, release held patterns, reconnect with inner truth, and move into life with greater clarity and self-trust.
Based primarily in Ibiza, where the practice was born, Lindsay has been working in the wellness and retreat space for over a decade. She is also the co-founder of YogaFit Retreats, a family-run retreat and festival experience that has brought together thousands of people from around the world through yoga, movement, music, and holistic practices.
Lindsay trains and mentors facilitators globally through Flow Dance Meditation Facilitator Trainings, which take place internationally in locations such as Ibiza, Bali, and beyond. Her work is shared in a wide range of settings, from retreat centres, studios, and festivals, to one-to-one therapeutic environments, corporate wellbeing spaces, and health clubs.
At the heart of Lindsay’s work is a deep respect for the body’s innate intelligence. Drawing from trauma-informed principles, somatic awareness, music psychology and years of lived experience, her approach emphasises safety, choice, and embodiment over performance or catharsis. Her guidance is known for being warm, grounded and non-directive, allowing participants to explore their inner landscape at their own pace.
Alongside live classes and retreats, Lindsay has created an extensive online library of guided Flow Dance Meditation practices, supporting themes such as nervous system regulation, grief, embodiment, creativity, menstrual and menopause support, masculine and feminine integration, and everyday emotional wellbeing.
Through all aspects of her work, Lindsay is passionate about creating spaces where people feel welcome, included, and empowered to trust their own experience, using movement, music, and presence as pathways back home to the body.
